Your car is broken down and you don’t have transportation to do all of the fun things that you usually do. Your wife has a list of things for you to do but they all require something from the hardware store.
Your wife is angry because you neglected the maintenance of the car and now its broken. If that is the case then you deserve her anger.
The kids are on your back because you can’t take them to the store to rent a video.
If this is how you feel when your car is in the shop then here are a few suggestions to make your life easier.
You can call the shop and bug them. I would not recommend this method unless you want the bill to go a bit higher (to cover the time on the phone Ha! Ha!). If your shop tells you that it will be a couple of days because the parts are on order give them the benefit of the doubt. It will be worth your while in the long run. If the shop tells you that your car will be done tomorrow and it is 3:00 PM and you have not heard from the shop it is okay to call and ask about your car. If you were told that your car would be done in a couple of days and most of two days have passed it is okay to call. Just don’t make a nuisance of yourself inquiring about your car. Most shops will do the best that they can to get your car out as soon as possible. They want to get paid.
Now what can you do while your car is in the shop. Why don’t you build a jigsaw puzzle as a family. If you haven’t done this you might like it. Your wife is still mad! You might consider a gift for her from one of our affiliate links Diamonds are always nice but you probably can’t afford them after you get the bill for fixing your car. We do have some folks that ship nice flowers and garden things that might get you off the hook since you don’t have transportation..
